A Deck Of Cards

It's funny how I could just scrapbook for hours til the next morning and my husband can do the same with Poker. He just loves hanging out with the guys and telling jokes all night long. I knew I had to create a mini for him that had to reflect with his Poker. I knew creating his own deck of cards would be just perfect. I incorporated the Poker phrases and the Poker Hands. I loved that one of the hands were "Four of a Kind". Couldn't be more perfect. Just had to add the girls pictures and Princess too to create the lil' mini book. It's funny because I always wanted to learn how to play and could never seem to remember the hands. Funny how making him a mini album made me learn some of them. :) I hope he enjoys the mini as much as I had fun creating it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Honey! I love you!

Cake Party Favors

I'm really enjoying my new XL Sizzix Pie Box die. You can create really fun party favors. Party favors are another one of my favorites next to mini albums and journaling. We're celebrating my nephew's birthday this weekend by the pool and thought the Webster's Pages Seaside Retreat collection was perfect. I didn't just want to make favors with this die, so I had to make a cake center piece too. I will be filling the favors with chocolate. "You can't have a cake without chocolate filling". heehee You can create almost anything theme with this die. I had such a blast creating these.

My Birdcage Card

Here's my birdcage for my May Birdcage Swap. I love how the rusty look turned out. I wanted my birdcage to look as though its been outdoors for all long time and just got rusted from the rain. I'm really excited to see how everyone's birdcage.

Dress Form Mini

My daughter Ariana was my inspiration to create this mini for her. Last semester she had Fashion as one of her classes and just instantly fell in love with sewing. She was always into Fashion as she collected magazines through the years and loves to dress up. I wanted to create something for her that related with Fashion and of course somehow make it into a mini. She loved how it came out and this is what makes scrapbooking all worth while. I'm so proud of her to have such a passion for sewing and fashion at such a young age.

Birdcage Card Swap Details

Hello Ladies!

I'm so excited and can't wait to swap. Thank you so much for all of you that signed up so quickly. YAY!!!!!

As you all know I LOVE birdcages. As much as I would love to purchase every birdcage out there, I thought this would be perfect way to collect different birdcages.

This will be an 7+1 swap you will get one of your own back.

* Please make this with a 3" x 5" medium weight chipboard (for both the birdcage/bird and card) I know not everyone has the TH birdcage die, but any birdcage is welcomed(this will be FUN to see all different types of birdcages), but please be sure to use medium weight chipboard or you can layer light weight chipboard.

* Please add one embellishment
* PLEASE put your name on the back of your work so we all know who's work it is.
* Anything goes. Love to see all different types and styles of birdcages.

These need to be in my hands no later than 6/8. I will ship on 6/8.

NOTE: If you are unable to complete the swap, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible. We would like to fair to those that are participating.

Place your card in a plastic zipper type bag to prevent possible damage.

Include a SASE with at least the same amount of postage as it took to mail to me. Also include 2 extra stamps if needed. I will send them back, if not needed. PLEASE NO metered strips!!!

* Paper Collection this month is Graphic 45 Fashionista
* Shape~ Square and Size 4" x 4"
* Challenge~ Twisted Flower Technique (Love these flowers)
* Please be sure to incorporate both sides of the design papers on each page.
* At least one embellishment on each page (flower, ribbon, charm, etc.)
* One page will need to include a pocket with a tag for journaling
* Please leave at least an 1/2" space on the left side for binding
* Use medium weight chipboard
* Place your name somewhere on the page so we all know who's work it is.
* Anything goes as long as you use both sides of the design paper.

* PLEASE be fair to everyone participating. If you're unable to continue the swap, please notify me asap. I would like everyone to have a complete mini album.

These need to be in my hands no later than June 5th. I will ship out on June 5th.
