Wedding Favors: I Am Roses "I Do" YTContest

Hi Everyone!

Come join I Am Roses in another You Tube Contest. The challenge is Monochromatic and the theme is " I Do ". I thought it would be fun to create some wedding favors. I created a purse favor using the Sizzix Bigz Pro Purse w/ Flower Cut-Out Bag die and added a gorgeous White Flower, White Puffy Flowers and White Rose Leaves which I added glitter on top. I also sprayed the flowers with Lindy Stamp Gang's Glitz Spritz in Scintillating Silver. I then tied some white seam binding to close the purse. This purse is perfect as a wedding favor and has a ton of space to fill in some wonderful goodies inside. The other favor I created was a wedding dress box favor. I used my QuicKutz Wedding dress die and created a small box in the center. I added my favorite Small White Flowers on the front of the dress and added some glitter to belt to coordinate with the purse favor. I then tied a bow on the back and left the white seam binding a bit longer to look like the wedding dress train. Pie Box Favors

Hi Everyone!

During this time of year, I ask my girls what favors they would like for me to make for their best friends at school as a little gift. Ashley wanted to give her three best friends each a pie box. I used my Sizzix XL Pie Box die along with two of my favorite Prima Fairy Belle and Song Bird Collection. I had purchased awhile back this adorable Cutie Pie rubber stamp from my local Michaels and thought it would be perfect, especially because her friends are so adorable and sweet. The pie boxes on the right and left were made with the Fairy Belle Collection and the pie box in the middle with the Song Bird Collection. I thought it would be cute to add some I Am Roses flowers to symbolize the whip cream and just love how it turned out. Listed below are the flowers I incorporated to each of the pie boxes.

Suitcase Note Box

Hi Everyone!

I thought it would be fun to create a Suitcase Note Box for my sister. She had gone on a business trip to Hawaii this week and knew this would be perfect for her office desk. I used both my Sizzix Tim Holtz Vintage Valise and Box #3 Die to create the suitcase. I added some loose paper and stamped these gorgeous Hawaiian images from these stamps I received from my cousin that used to live in Hawaii. I finally got to use them and I love it. I wanted to give the feel of Hawaii on the front of the suitcase by incorporating bright fun colors from the G.C.D Studios Funhouse collection and created a beach theme since my sister loves the beach. I used my Fiskars cloud punches in two different sizes and added pop dots for dimension. I added some Yellow trim that I purchased from my local Hobby Lobby and some gorgeous laser cuts from Lindy Stamp Gang. The umbrella and chair are just too adorable. Of course it wouldn't be complete without some sand and seashells. I layered a lot of beautiful I Am Roses on and around Sa Crafters pink rosette. I incorporated some Pink Gardenia Curly Petals, White Roses that I sprayed with the new Lindy Stamp Gang's Nantucket Pearls Salt Water Taffy and Hawaiian Island Magical Mai Tai. I then added some Medium White Poinsettia, Foam Head White Color Stamen . This was really fun to create.

Here, I created a favor treat bag for all the mom's I will see on Mother's Day this weekend. I used Sizzix Big Pro Bags with Handles #3 Die and K & Company's Abrianna Collection. I loved how the collection had Turquoise and Purple in the design paper. I first layered some of my favorite trim from Hobby Lobby, then added some design paper which I used my Fiskars Scallop Eyelet Punch. I also embellished the bag with Recollections die cuts from Michaels and added some pop dots to add some dimension. I then added a gorgeous I Am Roses White Flower, Two Toned Turquoise Cherry Blossom, Two Toned Purple Cherry Blossom, Mini Turquoise Roses and added Karla's Brown leaf spray. Friendship Layout

Hi Everyone!

Natalie had gone to her friends slumber birthday party and took this adorable picture with one of her friends. I thought this would be a great picture on a layout. I used the gorgeous GCD Studios Antiquities collection that was designed by Donna Salazar which I had purchased from my local Michaels. I just love all the dress forms and vintage images. There were a ton of images that were perfect and may I say "fun" to fussy cut out. I always place my 12 x 12 layouts on medium weight chipboard or a canvas. It just makes it easier to display or hang. I used one of my paint brushes and Lindy Stamp Gang Dark Chocolate Truffle to create a splatter background. There were a ton of border strips from the paper stack and I decided to layer them too. I incorporated the gorgeous I Am Roses White Puffy Daisy which I cut in half and sprayed with Lindy's Sea Grass Green. For the center flower, I added a White Rose that I first sprayed with Lindy's Salt Water Taffy then used a paint brush to paint the tips of the petal with Lindy's Cape Cod Coral and also paint the center of the rose too. I love the two toned color. The smaller White Roses I sprayed also with the Cape Cod Coral Starburst Spray and to accent the flowers, I added the super adorable and tiny Brown Roses. My Favorite Things Layout

HI Everyone!

I'm having so much fun creating layouts and here I created a layout of my daughter Natalie of her favorite things. The paper collection is My Favorite Things by Recollections which I had purchased from my local Michaels. I loved all the images in this paper stack and wanted to add a lot of layering and fussy cutting on her layout. One of Natalie's favorite thing to do is bake. She can bake all day if she wanted to. heehee Her most favorite is cupcakes therefore I fussy cut out some cute cupcakes and adhered it to the layout. Natalie also LOVES makeup. I will be the first to tell you that she has more makeup than me. Lol! Her most favorite and first thing she buys when I take her to the store, are nail polish and lipstick. I think she has almost every color out there. Heehee I also fussy cut out the cute image of the girl and PINK poodle because she loves clothes and our Toy Poodle Princess. I added some gorgeous I Am Roses Purple Poinsettia (Substitute) and Small White Flowers to the planter and sprayed them both with Lindy Stamp Gang's Glitz Spritz Scintillating Silver. On the bottom by the post I added the beautiful White Flower, Two Toned Purple Rose, Two Toned Purple Cherry Blossom and my favorite Small White Flower which I had also sprayed with Scintillating Silver. I layered several gorgeous trims from The Piece By Piece which I love. This layout was really fun for me to create because its all the things that Natalie loves.

I Am Roses "April Showers Bring May Flowers"

Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to share that with you another contest I Am Roses will be hosting on their iamrosesdt YouTube channel. Be sure to check out the contest video for all the details. I created this layout of my daughter Ariana with Echo Park This & That Graceful collection. I really love the bold colors. I layered three of the measuring tapes that I fussy cut from the design paper and placed them beside her photo. I added a White Spray,Soft Pink Crochet Flower and a Mini White Rose. The challenge is to create a handmade flower using any of the I Am Roses flowers. Here I created Tulips which is another favorite of mine. To create the Tulip, I used the White Petals which were stained with Lindy Stamp Gang's Cosmopolitan Pink and Hottie Patottie Hot Pink. I then added a White Stamen(substitute) and colored it yellow using my Y35 Copic marker. I placed the tulips on a Bingo card that I also fussy cut from one of the design papers. I also added a sentiment that was from the design paper as well and the butterflies where punched out from my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. To finish off the layout, I added this beautiful green rosette trim that I received from Jo and just loved how it all came together. Pedestal Birdhouse Mini

HI Everyone!

I love to alter bird cages and birdhouses this time of the year. I found these adorable pedestal birdhouses at my local Michaels and had to alter one for my mom. I wanted to add pictures but wasn't able to open the back, therefore I created the roof as my mini album. I want to add pictures of my mom, sister and I on the roof pages. I first painted the entire pedestal birdhouse with Clover acrylic paint, crackle medium and then painted Vintage White acrylic paint on top to give it a crackle finish. I also took my Tim Holtz Retractable Scratcher to make it look as though its been outside for a long time. On the pedestal I first added I Am Roses six Small Soft Green 2 Tone Maple Leaves and sprayed Lindy Stamp Gang's Scintillating Silver to give it shimmer. I then layered on top a gorgeous White Rose that I sprayed with LSG Wild Honeysuckle Coral and Glitz Cactus Gold. I also added two White Cherry Blossoms and Small White Gardenias that I sprayed with LSG Fuzzy Navel Peach with Glitz Scintillating Silver. I also fussy cut the banners on the Prima Song Bird Collection design Paper and used them as a ladder. Although birds don't climb on ladders, I loved how it looked. heehee For the birdhouse I added the design paper to create my roof and mini album. I added some of my favorite ivory lace trim from Hobby Lobby then layered Karla's flower trim and bird. On front of the birdhouse I added the White Short Paper Flowers Spray which I sprayed with LSG Scintillating Silver, small white gardenia that was sprayed with LSG Wild Honeysuckle Coral and a white Cherry Blossom sprayed also with LSG Scintillating Silver. I fussy cut one of the images that had the sentiment beautiful which was perfect, because my mom is beautiful inside and out. On the back I added the design paper with the three birds. Each bird symbolizes my mom, sister and I. I will add pictures of the three of us to the mini. I hope she loves it as much as I loved creating this.

From the Man Cave Step Card

I just adore the Greeting Farm Sitting Casual stamp set and had to create a card for my hubby. I wanted my card to have a wooden floor with a rug and a wall with a picture frame. I thought it would be perfect to create a step card. It was really super fun to create and I love how it turned out. For the wooden floor, I used the design paper from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Doody paper pad and added a fabric blue rosette flower from Frog Feathers Etsy store. I then stamped the chair onto the Glitz French Kiss design paper and stamped his shirt and shoes on the MME Howdy Doody design paper as well. I wanted Ian's jeans to look like an actual pair of jeans, therefore I stamped the image onto a pair of jeans my daughter no longer wears. I colored both his hair and skin using my Copic markers. For the back wall I created a frame using my Spellbinders Labels Three die and stamped the sentiment "From the Man Cave" onto some design paper and punched it out using my Stampin Up! Curly Label Punch. On the corner I added I Am Roses gorgeous Mini Blue Roses, Small White Gardenia and Blue Cherry Blossoms. I will definitely create more projects with this stamp set. Its just too adorable.

For my project, I created a layout of my daughter Ashley. She lost her other front tooth the other night and loved how cute she look with her two missing front teeth. I used the Coral Couture Stack by DCWV and adhered one of the beautiful design papers that had tons of glitter on the images onto a 12 x 12 medium weight chipboard. I distressed the edges using my favorite Tim Holtz distressing tool then distressed the edges with Ranger's Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I took a number 8 round paint brush and dipped the brush into my Wake Me Up Before You Go Go Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst spray and took my bone folder and tapped the end of the brush to give a splatter background and love how it looks. This is one of my favorite background techniques and will share a video soon showing how I create this background effect. I then layered Ashley's photo with some pre-cut design papers strips and also a die cut from the paper stack. On top of the CUTE sentiment, I adhered a beautiful distress white frame and some Recollections bling on the side that I picked up at my local Michael's. On the R21 - 1 White Flower, I sprayed Lindy Stamp Gang's Starburst Spray in Grab a Guy Gold. I sprayed three different sprays for the R40 - 70 White Flower using LSG's Starburst Spray in Marigold Yellow Orange,Winter Jasmine Gold and the Glitz Spritz in Cactus Gold to add extra gold shimmer. The T 25 - 152 White Puffy Semi Rose Bud was sprayed with LSG's Winter Jasmine Gold and for the ZQL 0- 151 White Leaves I sprayed my favorite LSG's Ponderosa Pine Olive. For the finishing touches, I added some light orange trim and layered an off white trim on top. The butterflies I fussy cut from one of the die cuts from the Coral Couture stack. Altered peat pot candy gifts

I was so sad when I received a phone call from Ashley's school that she got injured during her lunch break. I drove her school right away to pick her up and she was so sad and was all shaken up. Once we got home, I waited til she was calm and felt ready to tell me what had happened. Turns out, it was an accident and two of her friends that she plays with everyday were so kind and guided her to the closest yard duty for help. Ashley explained to me how helpful her friends were and that they were both very comforting. As a mom, it makes me feel to good to hear that. I wanted to make her friends a little "thank you" gift for being so helpful to Ashley. I altered these peat pots from my local 99 cent store and painted it with Vintage White acrylic paint and spray some Lindy Stamp Gang Cosmopolitan Pink. For the bottom base I used the Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles die and new Heidi Grace Daydream collection. On the front of the peat pot I added a Spellbinders Lacey die cut and adhered a Greeting Farm Odette and Summer image on top. I had asked Ashley to pick to Greeting Farms stamps that looked like her two friends. I colored them both with my Copics markers and paper pieced them with the HG Daydream design papers. The back of the pots I added I Am Roses flowers and leaves. For the inside, I created a little bag of treats and placed a shabby chic digi ticket from Bety which she signed to each of them. I loved how they both turned out and can't thank the girls enough for being there for Ashley.

A basket filled with chocolate dipped strawberries

I purchased MFTStamps Berry Box die and thought it would be fun to fill a basket filled with chocolate dipped strawberries as a Valentine gift for my daughter's teachers. Although it already came with the strawberry leaf, I Am Roses new White Flowers were perfect stained with Lindy Stamp Gang's Starburst Ponderosa Pine Olive and layered with a White Mini Rose. For the front of basket I added a gorgeous red rose and two white cherry blossoms on the side and sprayed them with Lindy's Glitz Spritz in Scintillating Silver. On the handle of the basket, I layered KARLAS001 flower trim then added a mini pink crochet flower, ribbon buckle and SaCrafters 10mm flat back pearl. I will fill all the strawberries with Valentine Hershey kisses in red and pink. You can also create white chocolate dipped strawberries and dark chocolate dipped strawberries. These are so fun to create throughout the year for any occasion.

Favor Bags with Design Paper and Wax Paper

I'm having so much fun making favor bags these past several days. I thought it would be fun to create a bag with the K & Company Engraved Garden design paper and layer it with a wax favor bag made from Wax Paper. I embellished both bags with a ton of gorgeous I Am Roses flowers. I loved that you can see the design paper through the wax paper. It give the bags a softer look to it. You can also use either bags separate as well. This create a wonderful favor bag to give to a friend. Listed below are all the IAR flowers I incorporated on my favor bags.

Shabby Chic Chipboard House Ornament

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Every Christmas year, its a tradition for my sister, brothers and I to give my mom an ornament for her tree. I thought it would be nice for me to create an ornament for her this year. I really loved the shape of these Studio 18 chipboard mini house album that I purchased from my local Michaels. This year we're celebrating Christmas at my mom's and thought it would be fun to create a Shabby Chic ornament with it. The design paper is from Prima's Botanical collection and the beautiful window is from Prima's Shabby Chic Treasures. I received the adorable Paper Trey Ink dress form die from Arlene and loved how it looked beside the window. I then added the gorgeous I Am Roses Pale Yellow mini Rose on the center of the bow. On the other side of the house are the beautiful Pink and Yellow Spray with the White Cherry Blossoms. For the design paper on the chimmney, I will add my mom's address using the Martha Stewart Numbers Punch. What's also great is that you can create many different projects with these house chipboards. These will also make adorable picture stands by just adding an chipboard easel die cut to the back.

Shabby Chic Bird Nest Snow Globe

I love being able to create my own custom snow globe. I purchased these from my local Michaels. They only carry these during the Christmas season, so I make sure I stock up on these. Natalie loved to purchase snow globes from all the places we'd travel and display them all on her shelf. What's great about this snow globe, you can create these with any theme. How fun would it be to collect souvenirs from all the places you've been to and design your very own. I really liked that it was plastic and that I didn't have to worry about anyone dropping it and not being able to have the snow globe anymore. Especially, if were from somewhere far away. The snow flakes look so pretty inside and has a beautiful shimmer to it. As you know, I love birds and thought it would be fun to create a Shabby Chic themed snow globe with a bird and bird nest. I Am Roses flowers and leaves just looked so pretty on the nest and on top of the snow globe. I really enjoyed creating this and look forward to creating many more.

My daughter Ariana loves jewelry and wanted to give her best friend Amanda jewelry for her birthday. Hi Everyone!
Here's my Fall tag I created using the Tim Holtz #8 tag. The paper collection I used is the Romantique Collection by Prima. The colors in this collection was perfect for the Fall theme. To create my Maple tree, I used Tan Brown Leaves and Brown Maple Leaves and added a dove on the tree using the Sizzix Bird #5 die. I also added y favorite Rock Candy Stickles on top of the tan brown leaves. On the trunk of the tree, I added the curled stem from the
White Short Paper Flowers Spray to secure the stems from the leaves and to make the trunk appear large. To create the fence, I used my Fence Sizzlit die and add stamped the word Fall on the SU! Modern Label punch die cut. I also added an extra eyelet and tied seam binding which I had stained with the Lindy Stamp Gang My Mojito Green. I really loved the vintage lady next to the tree.

Mommy & Me Crop Bird Cage Mini Album

Hi Everyone!

I had the best time ever at the Scrapbooker's Tale Mommy and Me Crop Ashley and I attended on August 20th from 10am to 2pm. Although we scrapbook together in my scrap room, being at the crop was so exciting. Ashley was so excited that she packed her bags weeks in advance and was literally counting down the days. Brandy had given all the kids an adorable mini album kit to create a really super cute mini. I couldn't believe how fast Ashley completed her album and how anxious she was to start a new project. It was so sweet of her to alter a Michaels Balsa box as a "Thank you" gift to Brandy for hosting the crop. Here I created a birdcage mini album of our fun day together using my new AccuCut Bird Cages(B1076SJ) die. I love the French Country paper collection by DCWV and been wanting to create a mini with this beautiful collection. 3D Sleigh Favor Box

I had so much fun creating this 3D Sleigh with my new AccuCut 3D Sleigh die. I thought it would so perfect to place one of Bev's Muslin bags to represent Santa's bag filled with crochet flowers. I loved that it looked like a mini version of his bag. To create the 3D sleigh, I used a 12x12 design paper from Fancy Pants Saint Nick collection. The mini diecut of St. Nicholas came from the 6x6 paper pad. All the wonderful flowers can be purchased at I Am Roses.
