Fairy Flora Photo Cube with Mini

When I went shopping on Black Friday with my girls, I came across these Photo Cubes at Target. I knew instantly what I wanted to do with this. My family got together and we all spent the weekend at my mom's and I wanted to make a lil' something to give to my sister because I love her SO much. I took the same idea with a video I had posted awhile back using the Sizzix Box die with Mini album. I'm really happy with how it came out. What I loved about the photo cube was that it was two separate pieces. I first decorated the outside of the photo cube with a photo frame I purchased from Michaels then added my favorite iamroses flowers with Prima laces. I designed the outside to where my sister can alternate the inside box therefore her family picture and Jacob's picture will then have the decorated side on their photo(You can decorate all four sides). The inside box I covered each square with the Prima Fairy Flora Collection.(LOVE this collection) and added their photos. I cut one side of the box for me to place the mini album inside. The mini album measures 3" x 3" creating 6 pages using medium weight chip board and Prima Fairy Flora design papers. For every other page I added an envelope(Sizzix Envelope with Ornate flap)with a tag inside for my sister to add journaling. I loved the fact that when you look at the cube, it doesn't look like there's a mini album inside.

Decorated the box that comes with the Photo Cube with design paper and their photo.

I remove the other half of the cube from the bottom for the Mini album to stand up on the cube.

Mini album fits perfect inside the box.

Happy Thanksgiving and Rosette Flowers with Edge Punch

I wanted to wish all my friends and family a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! I'm so very blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life. Thank you so much for making each day a joyful one. Below are some paper Rosette flowers I created using my edge punches. I wanted to give the Rosette flower a little extra touch to it. You can add coordinating embellishments in the center or create your own with chipboard, die cuts or flowers. The measurements are 1 1/2" x 12" strips scored at every 1/2". Have fun creating these. They're fun to add you any of your projects.

Beautiful Birthday Surprise from Marie

I'm so speechless to how GORGEOUS and wonderful the picture Marie created for me. It was special that she added my girls on the frame. I just LOVE all the detail and the pretty individual frames she placed my girls picture in. The flowers and BLING are simply beautiful and I just adore the pretty bird. Also, Marie created a stunning card with her awesome Copic coloring and given me cards with envelopes with my initial on it. Marie was the one whom first introduced me and Arlene to Copic markers and I can't thank her enough. Thank you so much Marie for the wonderful birthday gift I will forever cherish. You're the best! Love ya!

Altered Wooden Tray

Hi Everyone!

I received this adorable wooden tray from Kathy. Thank you so much Kathy! I wanted to incorporate one of the new Starburst Spray Cotton Candy PINK from lindystampgang.com to create that Shabby Chic look and to also include what I love. I incorporated several beautiful embellishments from RAKS I received. Thank you again ladies! I first painted it with Gesso and them painted the Cotton Candy PINK Starburst Spray. I added Prima's Fairy Flora papers inside the squares and edged each one with the Walnut Stain Distress ink. On the corners of the box I added Lindy's Stamp Gang's Brass Charms and loved how it came together. I added some wooden pieces on the bottom of the box because I plan to have it standing rather than hanging it. This was really fun to put together and create. Be sure to stop by lindystampgang.com and try the new PINK color....you'll love it!!!

Yuletide Calendar Layout

Each year I love to make several calendars as a lil' extra gift for all the ladies in my family. This year I thought it would be great to make a 12 days of Christmas calendar and 2011 calendar (not shown) using K & Company Yuletide Collection using just one design paper. I wanted to incorporate a few of the beautiful Holiday Starburst Stains by lindystampgang.com on my project. These colors will be available soon on their website. These colors are just absolutely gorgeous. I first sprayed the design paper with Moon Glow's Glitz Spritz in Desert Moon Cactus Gold then highlighted the candle lights and star with the Mica Powder in Glittering Gold . Certain part of the Christmas tree is also highlighted with the Magicals in the Lucky Shamrock to give it an extra shine. The Petal Card die by Sizzix is one of my favorite dies and knew it would fit perfect for this project. This makes a quick and FUN project to make for your friends and family.

Starburst Stain in Frosty Forest Green

Starburst Stain in Golden Sleigh Bells

Starburst Stain in Golden Lump O'Coal

Starburst Stain in Silent Night Silver

To create this project you'll need K & Company's Yuletide paper pad (This works perfect because it come with 12 double sided designs), coordinating adhesive border strips, chipboard, assorted tags(the tags measures 3 3/4") and Moon Glow's products. I also incorporated Prima laces and used several of my Stampin Up! punches. To create the numbers, I printed those using the #8 font in BOLD and printed it on the design paper( 1/2" SU! circle punch). I placed the layout on 12x12 heavy weight chipboard then edged with my distress tool and distressed with Walnut Stain. I then added 2 extra large eyelets and white tulle for hanging. There are several different ways to displays this. You can add magnets to the back or place it on an easel. This project can also be a 12 month calendar too. Just like the calendar I used with my Coaster Mini Calendar, I will add each months calendar on the tag then create a section on the layout to display the current month. You can use any of K & Company's collections for the 12 month calendar. Have fun creating!

My Girls Nail Art

I was so happy when my two younger girls Maddy and Ashley came into my craft room and asked me to do 3D Nail Art on their nails. My face was full of smiles. Of course their nails are so tiny that I had to use my tiny nail rhinestones. Maddy wanted PINK glittered nails with a heart, diamond and star. Ashley also wanted PINK glittered nails but one hand she wanted with a heart and triangles and the other hand with a heart and stars. They wanted to play as if they were coming in a Nail Salon and I was the Nail Technician. It was SO fun. I'm so blessed to have 4 girls....it was so meant to be. heehee
