Matchbox with Mini Album

Hi Everyone!

I love the matchboxes with a mini album in the drawer, but thought I'd create something a little different. I thought, "how about creating the drawer to appear like one but instead be the mini album". I just loved how it turned out. I'm in love the Prima's Romance Novel Collection and have been creating a lot of projects with this collection. The designs are just beautiful. Christmas Sleigh Mini

Hello Everyone!

It's been a long time since I've posted on my blog and I do miss it. I have to say, everyday life and preparing my oldest for college, senior pictures, driving, and so much more is a ton of work. heehee But, I'm enjoying every minute of it. I just have to make sure I takes notes because I have three more girls that will go through the same thing. Lol!

I really miss making mini albums. I've been to hooked on my mixed media projects that I haven't had the chance to stop and make a mini. With Christmas around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make a sleigh mini using my AccuCut 3D Sleigh Die. Though this box was designed to create a 3D Sleigh box, I knew I could make a mini out of it. I basically die cut out 6 sleighs with medium weight chipboard, adhered design paper to both the front and back. Then, I adhered another design paper on top of both sides only adding adhesive to the edges to create a pocket. I filled the pockets using my other dies and created some tags with the design paper. I just loved how it turned out. This will make great Christmas gifts for my family.

Birthday Explosion Box

Hi Everyone!
My nephew Dominic is turning 4 this year and I wanted to make a fun project for him. I wanted a mini album,cake, box and something to hold his giftcard. This project was perfect and incorporated all the things I wanted to create. The papers I used is from the Basic Grey Shine On collection and the cake box is Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Cake Box die.

I made the outside of the box simple by adding a jumbo monogram letter from the coordinating die cut pack and tied some white seam biding around the lid.

I wanted Dominic to have a cake and also thought it would be fun place to add a giftcard inside. I added a few embellishments on the top pages and kept it really simple therefore my cousin can just add his photos on top. There's three layers of design paper in the explosion box which is perfect for my cousin to add photos of his first 3 years.

On top of the cake I layered a canvas die cut from the collection and created a rosette using the Tim Holtz Alterations Paper Rosettes Die. I tied some bakers twine in yellow and white and place a I Am Roses flower on top. I stamped Happy Birthday on the design paper and created a banner. I then die cut the number four from my new Tim Holtz Word Play Alphabet die with chipboard. I colored the chipboard using the Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts Color Gelatos in Pistachio and added some glitter on top.

AccuCut Baby Crib Custom Die

Hi Everyone!
Here's my latest custom die that I designed with AccuCut Craft Custom Shape Pros. I have a ton of baby pictures of my girls and thought it would be perfect to create a baby crib die. I can't wait to make one for each of them. This will also make a great baby gift. I loved that I can also create a matching card to go with the mini album. For the boy crib mini album I used one of my all time favorite Nursery Tales collection by Prima and made a this mini album for my nephew. I really loved the shade of blue and green on the design papers. The card I used was K and Company's Watercolor Bouquet. This collection is so beautiful and was perfect for this die. I'm so happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to start my girls mini albums.

Camera Album

I've been wanting a camera album for quite some time and found the perfect one from AccuCut Education. I love that it had both the cover page and inside page to create an album. I have so many ideas of what I want to do with this camera die. What I loved the most is that I can use any paper collection and it will go perfect with this die. I take so many photos and knew I just had to have this. For this album, I created a Bird theme album to dedicate my love for birds and birdcages. The K & Company Life's Journey and BW Flora and Fauna are one of my favorites and thought it would go perfect with this theme. I really loved how it turned out. I'm planning to add photos of different birds I had taken during my trips to the Zoo with my family. I can't wait to make one of my girls first day of school with the new Fancy Pants Off To School collection.

Canvas Tag Mini

I'm loving all the Maya Road Canvas Mini Albums. They're so fun to work with. I used both the Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe and Neighborhood adhesive die cuts. The paper collection I used for the tag mini was the Emma's Shoppe Collection. This was super fun to create.

Shabby Chic Altered House and Mini Album

I had a great time making the One Sunny Day altered house and I had create another one with my favorite style...Shabby Chic. I love Webster's Pages and used both the Hollywood Vogue and WonderFall collection. I included one of my favorite flowers from iamroses.com on the side of the house. This was really fun to make.

One Sunny Day Altered House and Mini Album

Here's another dollar altered projected I created using a $1 bird house I purchased from Joann's. I've been searching for a wooden house but only seem to find bird houses. When I had seen this one...it was perfect. I used the Heidi Grace One Sunny Day Collection and just love it. I love the bright colors and the adorable houses. This was really fun to make.

Vintage Suitcase with Postcard Mini

Happy 2011!!! I'm super excited and looking forward to a ton of projects this year. I was talking to my husband last night and decided on two scrapbooking New Year's Resolutions. heehee As much as I love to buy paper, its such a waste to see it collect dust on my shelf. My first resolution is to create one to three projects with each paper collection. Of course I will still continue to purchase the latest collection coming, but I want to create projects with the papers I have. My second resolution is to use all my dies. I want to create more than one project with just the one die. I posted a video on the Petal Card Die and showed how you can create three different mini albums with just that one die. I was really excited and created my first project. I love to travel anywhere. It can be anywhere in California or even out of state and just thought this would be a perfect project. This will make a great gift to give to those that love to travel too.

Waiting for Santa & Sweet Season Tag Mini

We had so much fun at the snow and dinner and I just had to create a tag mini right away. Its so nice to live only an hour away from Tahoe. Our girls had such a blast playing with the snow that they didn't want to go home. heehee We were all craving steak for dinner and ate at Cattlemens. Wow, talk about huge steak. LOL!!! We had so much fun. Thank you daddy for a wonderful time!

3 Mini Albums using the Sizzix Petal Card Die

I always love to see what I can create using my Sizzix dies. I love that you can create 3 different mini albums using just the Sizzix Petal Card die. The Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime and Tim Holtz Seasonal Collection are just gorgeous. I really had fun making these today and look forward to making many more.

Jovial Christmas Mini

Fairy Flora Photo Cube with Mini

When I went shopping on Black Friday with my girls, I came across these Photo Cubes at Target. I knew instantly what I wanted to do with this. My family got together and we all spent the weekend at my mom's and I wanted to make a lil' something to give to my sister because I love her SO much. I took the same idea with a video I had posted awhile back using the Sizzix Box die with Mini album. I'm really happy with how it came out. What I loved about the photo cube was that it was two separate pieces. I first decorated the outside of the photo cube with a photo frame I purchased from Michaels then added my favorite iamroses flowers with Prima laces. I designed the outside to where my sister can alternate the inside box therefore her family picture and Jacob's picture will then have the decorated side on their photo(You can decorate all four sides). The inside box I covered each square with the Prima Fairy Flora Collection.(LOVE this collection) and added their photos. I cut one side of the box for me to place the mini album inside. The mini album measures 3" x 3" creating 6 pages using medium weight chip board and Prima Fairy Flora design papers. For every other page I added an envelope(Sizzix Envelope with Ornate flap)with a tag inside for my sister to add journaling. I loved the fact that when you look at the cube, it doesn't look like there's a mini album inside.
